Resume

Y-LEAAD (Youth-Led Environmental Action & Advocacy) empowers youth in Somaliland’s IDP camps to drive climate adaptation through advocacy, awareness, and hands-on solutions. Climate Youth Ambassadors will be trained in leadership, community engagement, and policy advocacy, equipping them to mobilize peers and influence decision-makers. Through youth forums, social media campaigns, and community dialogues, they will foster collaboration between youth, elders, and authorities. A Climate Adaptation Camp will support the development of youth-driven climate solutions, with selected ideas tested through small-scale pilot projects, demonstrating the potential of youth-led action. By strengthening youth leadership, promoting social cohesion, and integrating pilot results into advocacy efforts, Y-LEAAD ensures that young people are at the forefront of sustainable climate resilience in Somaliland.
