This intervention seeks to strengthen YAIM as a democratic, sustainable youth-led civil society organisa-tion working across all seven regions of The Gambia. The project will consolidate YAIM’s organisational structures, including the Regional Chapters and newly established school-based YAIM Clubs, while strengthening members’ leadership, advocacy and communication capacities. A specific focus will be placed on expanding girls’ participation in football through the establishment of female football teams. Building on YAIM’s youth-led policy recommendations, members will lead digital media and community campaigns and engage duty bearers to strengthen youth influence on migration governance and youth opportunities. The project will thereby support young people to make more informed migration decisions and strengthen their ability to participate in and shape decisions affecting their futures.
