Resume

The project strengthens the organisational capacity of Fields of Dreams (FoD) in Davao, Philippines, to provide more sustainable and rights-based support to children in residential care, including those transitioning out when they turn 18 as well as selected community children Following a period of financial fragility, the project addresses weak financial resilience, unsystematic transition support for older beneficiaries, and limited collaboration with local stakeholders. Through targeted capacity building, FoD staff and management are trained to establish routines for child participation, career guidance and transition planning, stakeholder engagement and preparation of a future social enterprise linked to FoD’s cacao plantation. Children participate through a democracy camp, a Children and Youth Council and Participation Days. The project is implemented by FoD with capacity-building support from People & Planet and concludes with a stakeholder conference to anchor results locally.
