Resume

Immediate outcomes of the intervention: 1) By April 2024, we see a low level of recidivism among the former inmates and promotion of sustainable livelihoods for them and the vulnerable community members who all become trainees at the farm 2) By April 2024, we see a capable Ubumi Zambia in terms of small-scale farming and monitoring and evaluation skills, specifically in relation to the Ubumi Reintegration Model 3) By April 2024, there is a strengthened civil society alliance for capacity building and advocacy for reintegration that engages relevant government bodies The project seeks to promote sustainable livelihoods for former inmates and vulnerable community members through a training programme at a farm. The training programme equips them with skills to live productive lives after the training, and at the same time the reintegration model serves as an example of good practice in civil society advocacy efforts for a reintegration policy.
