Resume

The dire situation faced by school children in ward 14 of Umguza District in Matabeleland North Province, Zimbabwe. The ward is facing widespread starvation due to El-Nino-induced drought. This project offers a crucial opportunity to avert an impending hunger crisis for schoolchildren. With failed crops and the local population at grave risk, the project aims to target 1221 school children from 6 primary schools in Umguza District ward 14 throughout two school terms. Targeting these school children with supplementary feeding during this trying time is critical to address their specific nutritional needs, protect their well-being, support their education, and ensure long-term positive outcomes. By focusing on this vulnerable group, the project will strive to minimize the adverse effects of drought and promote the healthy development of future generations.
