This project is inspired by the Danish Out-schooling Program, combining outdoor learning, experiential activities, and nature-based education with classroom teaching to promote holistic development. Using 10 acres of land, 15 community workers, and experience from 20 outdoor learning visits with 5 schools since 2020, we aim to pilot a scalable Environmental Awareness and Outschooling Demonstration Program targeting primary school children (6–12 years) often excluded from similar initiatives. The program will engage 180 children from 5 new schools through interactive, child-friendly climate change education, practical demonstrations, and play-based learning. Participating schools will establish environment clubs to apply these lessons locally. Additionally, a Trainer-of-Trainers model will empower community mobilizers to broaden outreach and encourage more schools and teachers to participate. This pilot will serve as a foundation for scaling the program, and multiplying it out.
