Resume

The ABUSUA FIE project aims to enhance the safety, resilience, and empowerment of LGBT+ individuals in Ghana amid heightened persecution following the introduction of the 2024 anti-LGBT+ law. Through the establishment of a secure community safe house in Greater Accra, the project will offer crisis shelter, psychosocial and welfare support and assistance with housing and employment. It will also deliver safety and security trainings to equip LGBT+ Ghanaians with tools to navigate hostile environments. Additionally, the project will strengthen the organizational and fundraising capacity of LGBT+ Rights Ghana to ensure long-term sustainability. The intended change is a safer, more resilient LGBT+ community, able to protect itself and engage in advocacy, supported by a strengthened civil society organization.
