Resume

Kenya experiences persistent violence around elections. The causes and drivers remain unaddressed, and the risk of violence associated with the upcoming August 2022 general election in Kenya remains. Conducive Space for Peace and three Kenyan CSOs have established a synergetic partnership that seeks to contribute to a more secure, peaceful and cohesive society in Kenya by reducing political violence before, during and after elections and strengthening peaceful co-existence and community resilience. This project builds on work during the CISU-funded ‘Partnership for Peacebuilding’ (20-3003-CS – December 2020 to November 2021) consolidating gains made, laying additional foundations for peaceful elections, and further strengthening the partnership. This will be achieved through leveraging this unique constellation of organisations that hold a long-term presence in local communities, and strong relationships and entry points to the political system at national, county, and local levels.
