As described in the application, the Gedo region, especially Caqaqable, will probably receive 40% to 70% less rain than normal. The expected humanitarian crisis is a food insecurity that will hit everyone hard, particularly vulnerable groups in Caqaqable village. There has already been a lot of damage due to the drought, combined with high prices for food and other goods and services. This intervention will identify the 100 most vulnerable HHs in Caqaqable village and support them, where 40 HHs will receive $200 E-cash, 2 water barrels, 3 seed bags, (vegetables, maize, and sorghum) and 1 hectare of land cultivated. The rest of the group (60 HHs) will revive 2 water barrels, seeds and 1 hectare of land cultivated.
