Engineers Without Borders Nepal (EWBN), in partnership with EWB Denmark (EWB DK) proposes a rapid humanitarian intervention for flood-displaced households in selected areas of Rasuwa, with particular attention to women, girls and other vulnerable groups. The intervention will use rapid community-based assessments to identify priority needs and provide essential WASH and protection services, including safe water supply, temporary toilets, handwashing and bathing facilities, water treatment, menstrual-hygiene support, and the repair or construction of two Women and Children Friendly Shelters providing safe and accessible spaces for women and children. Women and girls will be actively involved in identifying needs, location, and providing feedback throughout implementation. The intervention will prioritize households living in overcrowded inadequate holding centres and those unable to safely return home, reducing immediate health and protection risks and helping prevent avoidable illness.
