Resume

Provision of FPDH with 5 UNPFA post-rape kits, 2 motorcycles FPDH currently operates five centers throughout Mwenga province in South Kivu that provide medical care, psychological support, and legal assistance to survivors of sexual violence. The 5 UNFPA post-rape kits will be delivered by UNFPA freight forwarders to the largest center in Kasika, from which they will be distributed to the four other open centers. The centers are difficult to access due to poor road conditions in the Mwenga province, which makes them accessible only by 4x4 jeeps or motorcycles. The requested motorcycles will enable FPDH facilitators to transport the kits to the centers as soon as possible to begin treating affected women and girls. The kits will enable FPDH facilitators to treat survivors of sexual violence and prevent further suffering from sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and unwanted pregnancies. The laptops and printers will be used for coordination, reporting and documentation.
