Resume
The appraisal will ‘re-test’ the objectives in terms of the problem analysis, in order to ensure that indicators can be developed and that the activities are relevant for the fulfilment of the objectives. Having re-worked the problem analysis and adjusted the objectives if deemed necessary, the activities must be carefully assessed. The basic question is: will the proposed activities lead to the fulfilment of the objectives? The appraisal will assess whether the activities are the right ones, whether some activities should be replaced with more relevant ones or whether more activities are needed to complement the existing ones to achieve the objectives. In addition, each activity will be scrutinised, not only for its effects, but also for its relation to the other activities. During the appraisal the activities will be further designed in terms of exact components, who should participate, costs, how to be organized, who is responsible etc. A partnership agreement between DUF and YET will be written.
