Food and water access is established to vulnerable populations after the earthquake in western Colombia on 10 August 2026. In collaboration with community-based partners in Pereira and Buenaventura, Censat and NOAH (Friends of the Earth Colombia and Denmark) reaches populations in extreme poverty and vulnerability and provide immediate life-saving basic needs following the principles of Do-No-Harm and respecting local leadership, local decision making and cultural customs. The intervention results in 1) providing targeted food assistance to 850 individuals of highly vulnerable groups in Pereira while they recover their proper economies and 2) restoring clean water access to 480 individuals living in extreme poverty and vulnerability in stilt-houses in Bajamar, Buenaventura.
