Resume

Moja - Stitch for Education (Moja), is empowering the Soweto Youth Initiative (SYI) to better serve Kahawa Soweto's community. Through workshops, training, and mentorship, SYI's volunteer staff will gain essential skills in project design, financial management, and more. This equips them to address the community's pressing needs, from sustainable livelihoods for youth (aged 15-35) to improved education access for children (aged 0-14) and better support services for elderly residents (aged 65+). Culturally appropriate interventions and a focus on lifelong learning ensure long-term sustainability. The project embeds new skills in SYI's procedures, and learnings are shared with the wider civil society network to foster collaboration for a brighter future in Kahawa Soweto. This initiative empowers SYI, strengthens the community, and paves the way for lasting positive change.
