The intervention aims to strengthen youth engagement and civic participation in Jambiani, Zanzibar, through sports-based community development. The primary target group is students at Jambiani Primary and Secondary School, with a focus on marginalized youth, especially girls. The intervention will support a participatory process to co-develop a full project application involving students, teachers, and local civil society actors. Main activities include youth-led needs assessments, co-design workshops, and joint writing sessions with Danish and Tanzanian partners. The goal is to ensure that the future project is rooted in local priorities and reflects the voices of those it seeks to benefit.
