Resume

The proposed intervention will seek to enable vulnerable people who have lost access to income and basic services in the informal settlements of Nakuru County to better cope with the social, economic, and health effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. This will be done through activities to create awareness on the prevention and treatment options of COVID-19 and create access to water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) and through provision of humanitarian assistance in the form of food supply, creating access to psychological first aid (PFA) and linking vulnerable populations, including victims of GBV to needed medical and mental health services . In order further strengthening effective coordination, implementation and ongoing risk analysis a pool of emergency response people at county, sub-county, and ward level will be established. This structure will also play an important role in creating safe environments and ensure outreach to the most vulnerable groups in Nakuru County. It is estimated that the intervention will reach app. 94.000 through its activities.
