DIGNITY - Dansk Institut Mod Tortur

DIGNITY er en menneskerettighedsorganisation, der kombinerer rehabilitering, forskning, internationalt udviklingsarbejde og fortalervirksomhed under samme tag. DIGNITY har hovedsæde i Danmark, men samarbejder med partnerorganisationer og statsinstitutioner i mere end 20 lande. DIGNITY er en selvstyrende institution uafhængig af partipolitik, som kæmper for en verden fri for tortur og for at give torturofre den livsnødvendige rehabilitering. DIGNITY arbejder med og ud fra anerkendte, internationale menneskerettighedsstandarder og konventioner, blandt andet FN's Konvention mod Tortur og anden Grusom, Umenneskelig eller Nedværdigende Behandling eller Straf, Istanbul-protokollen, Nelson Mandela-reglerne og Verdensmålene for Bæredygtig Udvikling.
