EFLC was founded by American missionaries of the Lutheran Brethren Church of America in the 1920's. In 196 they were formally established as an independent church in Cameroun in 1969, with more than 1200 parishes throughout the country. EFLC is mainly present in the northern parts of Cameroun, in the rural areas. EFLC has a holistic mission view and prioritizes evangelization and diaconal work, and is acknowledged for this by local state actors. Main activities are - Evangelization and theological education - 5 bible school, and BA level in theology - External mission to support the church in Mali and Senegal - 8 missionary families sent - Education and schools - primary, secondary and college - Center for street children - Diaconal acitivities - Health: 5 health centers and a hospital - Protection of converts who are persecuted or abandoned - Humanitarian relief aid, food deliveries and shelter to areas of crisis, mainly through external support. - Peace protection: conferences, dialogue meetings, marches for peace, youth fairs, etc. FORB has been central in projects of anti-radicalisation consolidation ofpeace. FORB is included in the strategy for peace. FORB has for several years already been an important aspect in development and humanitarian activities, ensuring the equal treatment despite religious background. CAPDI has held conferences of FORB and CAPDI and EFLC participates in initiatives with other partners as well (eg. local dissemination, FORB workshop organised by CAPDI 2024, and participation in training by PROCMURA in Duoala in 2024). CAPDI and the peace committees has been proactively involved in initiatives of peace and reconsiliation, the latest large one in a local interreligious conflict in from mid-2023 through the spring of 2024. It is one example where showing respect of and dissemination of FORB is an intergrated essential part of the activities of CAPDI-EFLC
