UkraineActive (UAactive) is a non-profit, non-governmental, all-Ukrainian sports and educational organization with a national secretariat in Kyiv. Its primary goal is to promote physical activity among children, young people, and people of all ages through educational, recreational, and sports activities, events, and the implementation of various programs and projects. Collaboration with organizations, institutions, clubs, and educational establishments in the fields of physical education, health care, and sports enhances the effectiveness of its work. Special attention is given to engagement with central authorities in Ukraine, local governments, and territorial communities. Each year, UkraineActive implements approximately 60 educational programs and events across Ukraine, including seminars, webinars, networking opportunities, and conferences. These initiatives aim to foster a positive attitude toward physical activity, encourage a healthy lifestyle, and enhance the quality of life for children and youth through sports and exercise during and after school hours. A key focus is supporting the reform of the physical education sector in Ukraine, which plays a crucial role in building a strong and effective society. UkraineActive organizes numerous nationwide events (both online and offline), competitions, and challenges that engage thousands of young Ukrainians in physical activity. By working with schools across Ukraine, the organization provides students with opportunities to enjoy sports and exercise. Some of its flagship initiatives include European School Sport Day, Active Summer for Ukrainian Pupils, Challenge in Active Park, Kids and Junior Games, and #BeActive day. Efforts to improve children’s physical activity take place in various settings, including schools, study sessions, free time, and after-school programs. Encouraging positive experiences with physical activity helps develop lifelong healthy habits.
