The Free Pentecostal Fellowship in Kenya (FPFK) is an evangelical church registered in 1997. It operates in 36 regions and has over 2000 congregations with a combined membership of over 350.000. FPFK was established independently by the Norwegian and Swedish missionaries who operated independent of each other until 1997 when they merged forming FPFK Vision: To be a strong Pentecostal church that meets the needs of society holistically. Mission: As a church, we remain committed to preaching the Word of God to all nations in preparation for the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ by reaching out and establishing churches which can meet the spiritual, economic and social needs of the people through evangelism, education, training and socio-economic activities based on christian values. FPFKs strategies can be concentrated into four thematic focus areas that include: 1. Church growth and expansion 2. Sustainable social ministry programs 3. Quality and flexible funding streams 4. Human and Institutional Capacity Development (HICD) The main activities include: a large focus on Civil Society Strengthening as well as the following: Diaconia in development; Facilitating mind-heart dialogues; Awareness raising/community education; ToTs and Volunteerism Approach; Supporting group formation/strengthening for advocacy; Partnership and linkages; Exchange learning; Livelihood skills development; Asset based community development; Training and ICT based Early warning; Service provision and humanitarian assistance.
