Al-Harah Theatre is a non-profit cultural organization founded in 2005 in Beit Jala, West Bank, Palestine. Registered with the Palestinian Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Culture, the theatre aims to promote artistic expression and social change through high-quality theatre productions. Al-Harah Theatre seeks to create thought-provoking, accessible, and socially relevant performances that highlight human rights, democracy, and freedom of expression. Through storytelling and theatre education, it engages with marginalized communities, advocating for children’s rights, gender equality, and social justice. Primary Activities • Theatre Productions & Performances – Produces and tours plays for children, youth, and adults across Palestine and internationally. • Education & Training – Runs weekly drama sessions, vocational training in performing arts, and professional development workshops. • Cultural Festivals – Organizes events like the "Yalla Yalla" Street Festival and the Palestine International Theatre Festival for Children. • Advocacy & Social Engagement – Uses theatre to address gender issues, child rights, and social justice through performances and community initiatives. • International Collaborations – Partners with regional and global organizations for cultural exchanges and co-productions.
