The MENA Organization for Services, Advocacy, Integration & Capacity Development, is a holistic program committed to improve the health and well-being of marginalized and vulnerablized groups in Lebanon and beyond. Through its presence and networks in Lebanon and the MENA region, MOSAIC's strategic goal is to achieve the coexistence of people in their respective communities and national systems. Founded by activists, legal and health experts in September 2014, MOSAIC provides specialized and comprehensive services for marginalized groups, research and advocate for policy reform, develop knowledge and capacities on SOGIESC (Sexual Orientation & Gender Identity/Expressions, and Sex Characteristics) issues, and engage the societies in the fight against human rights violations, especially against LGBTIQ+ rights violations. In the fight against homo-hate and trans-hate, we aim to promote change in the way communities and states interact with LGBTIQ+ through creating accessible spaces to empower individuals, building collective efforts, and providing services supporting LGBTI and queer persons’ needs in a dignified manner. We envision a society where gender and sexual identities are respected in our local communities and where individuality is valued and fully embraced in inclusionary collective spaces, without unequal gendered socialization, and without fear and persecution. Mosaic's approach is gender neutral. We provide services to all marginalized groups and for LGBTIQ+ communities. We work to bridge service gaps for male survivors of sexual violence and Trans* persons, across all intersectionality.
