Tingub Community Urban Poor Homeowners Association Inc. (TCUPHAI) is a community-based organization established to represent and empower urban poor households in Upper Tingub, Mandaue City, Philippines. Founded in response to the growing need for secure housing, livelihood opportunities, and environmental action, TCUPHAI has evolved into a grassroots leader in community development and climate resilience. The organization promotes inclusive growth through active community mobilization, capacity-building, and local advocacy. TCUPHAI's core purpose is to uplift marginalized families by addressing livelihood insecurity and environmental degradation through sustainable solutions. It works closely with local government units (LGUs), non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and private sector partners to implement programs in solid waste management, particularly plastic upcycling, disaster preparedness, and housing security. Its primary activities include community organizing, waste collection and segregation, Textile Waste Recycling, and livelihood skills training. TCUPHAI also leads advocacy campaigns on responsible waste management and climate change awareness, engaging schools, youth, and local leaders. Through these efforts, TCUPHAI not only improves the quality of life of its members but also fosters community ownership, leadership, and long-term sustainability.
