Somali Community Development Organisation (SOMCDO)

Somali Community Development Organisation (SOMCDO) is a registered local non-governmental organisation in Somalia. The organisation was established to support vulnerable communities through community development, humanitarian assistance, peacebuilding, and sustainable development programmes. SOMCDO works in the areas of child protection, community development, conflict resolution and peacebuilding, emergency response, humanitarian assistance, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), provision of clean water, shelter and non-food items (NFIs), support for farmers, and youth and women empowerment. The organisation operates in Mogadishu and other regions of Somalia, including Galmudug, and works closely with local communities, authorities, and development partners to improve livelihoods and strengthen community resilience.
