The FOREST4LIFE Partnership Program contributes to safeguarding vital ecosystem functions, climate stability and enhancing well-being and resilience of forest-dependent communities while maintaining the integrity of three major Conservation and Connectivity Blocks in the Amazon and Chiquitano forest biomes in Peru and Bolivia. To address challenges related to land transformation, climate change, and violations of rural and Indigenous rights, the program focuses on empowering Indigenous and frontline communities to protect forests through enhanced community-based surveillance using advanced tools and community wildfire brigades. It also promotes sustainable NTFR production practices, strengthens territorial governance, and creates policy impact through civil society engagement, multi-level coordination and data-driven advocacy. By doing so, the FOREST4LIFE Partnership Program paves the way for a more just, climate-resilient, and biodiverse future in Central-Western Amazon.
