Livaningo and SustainableEnergy propose this intervention to provide rapid assistance to save lives and alleviate the immediate suffering of vulnerable populations affected by the floods. These displaced people are currently housed in accommodation centers in the Buzi district, Sofala province. The intervention will have a total duration of three months starting in February 2026, encompassing procurement, distribution of food and other urgently needed items, as well as project monitoring, evaluation, and reporting. The intervention will target 600 families of most vulnerable people, totaling approximately 2,500 individuals (children, women, and people with disabilities). Everyone will benefit from the distribution of food assistance, and the 150 families with the most critical needs will in addition also benefit from assistance in the form of vouchers to purchase items or additional food to meet their individual urgent needs.
