The "Together for Equality" project aims to strengthen the resilience, protection, and democratic participation of LGBTQ+ people in Ukraine. Developed in partnership between Ukrainian LGBTQ+ organizations Insight, Gender Stream, and Resistance, alongside LGBT+ Denmark, the project addresses urgent community needs by providing safe spaces, shelter, legal assistance, and psychological support, while also empowering LGBTQ+ activists and organizations through capacity-building initiatives. At the same time, the project advances legal reform, advocating for the adoption of Draft Law 5488 to criminalize hate crimes against LGBTQ+ individuals. By combining service provision, organizational strengthening, and legal advocacy, the project ensures both immediate protection and long-term inclusion of LGBTQ+ people in Ukraine’s democratic future.
