Resume

The proposed relief response aims to address the needs of over 3400 displaced individuals in Nyando and Kadibo Sub counties following severe flooding. The intervention, guided by local context and partnerships, focuses on timely and effective support aligned with the identified needs. The intervention includes in-kind aid such as food, blankets, and sanitation kits for over 700 vulnerable households, targeting specific groups like the elderly, children, and those with health conditions. Rehabilitation of sanitation facilities in schools and support for housing reconstruction will aid in restoring normalcy. Short-term impacts include improved nutrition, reduced disease risk, and enhanced resilience among vulnerable populations. Activities such as food distribution, supply of essential items, and community training on gender-based violence aim to protect and empower affected individuals.
