Resume

This project strengthens the Mayuge Sports Platform in Eastern Uganda, a youth-led civil society space engaging at least 840 young people per league season through football and netball. Over 1 year, two (2) league seasons will mobilise youth from 24 community sports clubs as an entry point for active citizenship, leadership development, gender inclusion, and engagement with community actors and public programmes. The project contributes to strengthened governance and accountability of youth clubs, increased collective engagement of young people in local development processes, and improved participation and leadership of girls. Primary target groups are youth club coordinators and participating young people, with wider community reach. The project is implemented by The Hope Alive Initiative in partnership with Civil Connections Community Foundation.
