The project strengthens climate-resilient livelihoods among Adivasi communities in Rayagada and Gajapati districts of Odisha, India by revitalising indigenous food and seed systems and strengthening community participation in local planning. In 60 villages, youth groups, elders and community members revive and exchange traditional seed varieties, document indigenous foods and practices, and strengthen intergenerational knowledge transfer. These changes improve food security, adaptive capacity and cultural continuity. In parallel, communities articulate shared priorities and engage in Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) processes and relevant schemes. Through structured, small-scale advocacy and follow-up, community priorities related to sustainable farming and natural resource management are increasingly reflected in local plans and scheme access. The project is implemented by Living Farms in partnership with Action Child Aid (Aktion Børnehjælp).
