Resume

The project will build on an existing sewing center in Aden to pilot its development into a women-led community hub. Women who already use the center for skills development and livelihood opportunities will establish a Women’s Management Group and take an active role in managing and shaping the center. Through participatory needs assessment and planning, women will identify shared priorities and test small-scale activities responding to their needs. The project will strengthen women’s leadership, collective organisation and participation, while providing a safe and supportive space where they can meet, learn and take collective action. Lessons from the pilot will guide the center’s future development and community-led programming. The project is implemented by local partner Mawada in partnership with DM-Aid.
