Resume

The project aims at realizing a resilient, thriving, and prosperous community in Ngwalongwalo. The project will ensure the implementation of the visions outlined in the previous collaboration Weavers’ Village I where the primary data was gathered through stakeholder analysis and a needs analysis. The capacity building of core structures in the village will secure the organization and coherence in the village. Capacity building of weavers and other business groups will support increased income for the village inhabitants. An unformal banking system and micro-grants anchored in the village will secure a flexible and locally led implementation. The strategic deliveries include a Community House to strengthen civil society and participatory decision-making, and a water supply system addressing basic needs as well as productive capacity, both supported through training in maintenance to ensure sustainability. The partners are Lupane Women’s Centre (Zimbabwe) and Care4People (Denmark).
