Resume

The project aims to strengthen the capacity of civil society organisations on Bohol, Philippines, to act as a counterpart to local authorities. Despite their critical role in addressing social, economic, and environmental challenges, many NGOs in Bohol face significant obstacles, including limited resources, fragmented collaboration, and insufficient capacity to sustain meaningful impact. The project addresses these issues by establishing an NGO network and facilitating at least six thematic network meetings, providing an online course on NGO administration and organizing a bootcamp and a CSO-Government dialogue. By fostering collaboration and equipping 20 individuals from at least 10 NGOs with necessary skills, the initiative aims to create resilient, inclusive, and sustainable organizations. In turn, this effort is expected to indirectly benefit 2,000–5,000 community members, contributing to a more robust and vibrant civil society in Bohol.
