Resume

In Kahawa Soweto slum, women face unique challenges, including early pregnancies, often driven by sexual activity for money, hygiene products, or food. This leads to school dropout rates, financial struggles, and reliance on male family members. This affects self-esteem and hinders advocacy for women's rights. We believe empowering women starts with nurturing self-belief through skills for self-sustainability. We're seeking funding to launch courses in our newly established Women Empowerment Center in Kenya. Partnering with the government agency NITA, it will be the only center in the area offering free vocational training for young mothers leading to government-issued certificates. While we believe that skills training alone will have a huge impact in empowering women, we'll advocate and provide education on women's rights for long-lasting change. By creating sustainable income opportunities, we empower the community, improve employment prospects, and support socio-economic growth.
