Over 2.1 million people requiring urgent humanitarian assistance in Gaza. Among the most pressing needs are food security and access to drinking water, as many displaced persons (IDPs) face severe shortages of both basic food and safe drinking water. The objective of this intervention is to meet the basic needs of those affected by the crisis through the distribution of lifesaving food and water. Due to the blockade on Gaza, it is very difficult to get aid or goods inside. To accommodate the blockade, this intervention will focus on the goods already inside Gaza as identified by local partner Taawon. In total 506 internally displaced families (2.784 unique individuals) in Middle and South Gaza will be assisted. 320 families will be targeted with clean drinking water supply and 186 families will be targeted with hot meals. Both activities will be coordinated to supplement existing humanitarian efforts on the ground.
