Resume

As a continuation of a previous intervention, this project seeks to continue to build the capacity of the representatives of the citizens of 3 more districts/municipalities - Ahafo Ano South West District (AASWD), Afigya-Kwabre District (AKD) and Kwadaso Municipality (KM) - in their functions, duties, and rights in Ghana’s local governance structure. This is in response to the issue of elected citizens’ representatives having limited or no knowledge of their functions, duties and responsibilities in the district/municipal assembly, the body mandated to bring governance and development to the doorstep of the citizens. The intervention will be undertaking through capacity building workshops and stakeholders’ fora; employing dialogue, brainstorming, visualisation, group work, sharing of ideas, and participatory training on local governance and development. There will be 520 primary participants involved in the intervention.
