Community Development Network (CoDeN)

Community Development Network (CoDeN) is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) based in Ghana, working to help stakeholders in the district level to understand the operations of the local assemblies and the roles these stakeholders need to play in the governance and development of their district. CoDeN has been part of interventions that builds the capacity of the district assemblies, the third tier of the local governance structure of Ghana. CoDeN works with assembly members, unit committee members and community members, helping them to understand the nature of the local governance system. The board and secretariat of CoDeN consist of people who have been actors in Ghana’s local governance system for several years. They have worked with several capacity building and community empowerment/participation projects that strengthens local governance and development.
