Resume

This project aims to implement the collaborative initiatives Bosque de niños (BoNi, children’s forest) and Tierra de niños (TiNi, children’s land) in three CONAPAC partner communities using the methodology developed by Asociación para la Niñez y su Ambiente (ANIA), a Peruvian organization dedicated to cultivating empathy for life in new generations (aniaorg.pe). For many years, CONAPAC has promoted the inclusion of BoNi and TiNi spaces through teacher training. The pandemic and subsequent challenges have left many of these spaces fallow, neglected, or abandoned. This project will enable a focused effort on a select number of communities to foster the rehabilitation or new creation and use of spaces where students can learn directly from and alongside nature. Communities will engage in the design and creation of these spaces through a collaborative process among students, parents, and teachers. This collaboration between CONAPAC and SR&L aims to strengthen local environmental work.
