Resume

Since mid-2024 EWB-DK has worked in frontline-adjacent communities in Mykolaiv Oblast through rapid response support. During this period, a bottom-up need has emerged for organized, community-led action on local led infrastructure rehabilitation. Informal volunteer groups have begun addressing urgent needs, but most lack formal registration, technical capacity, and access to resources. This locally driven demand will be addressed through a partnership between AED and EWB-DK, combining strong experience in locally led development and civic participation, with technical capacity building expertise. The partnership will strengthen 1) local ownership and democratic participation among vulnerable groups, 2) community resilience through technical skills development, and 3) civil society–authority collaboration for efficient, locally anchored recovery.
