Resume

F.R.E.S.H. is a 42-month programme aimed at contributing towards improved food security, nutrition, income, and health among 1553 vulnerable households in Mutasa and Bindura districts of Manicaland and Mashonaland provinces respectively, Zimbabwe. The programme will apply three integrated approaches: nutrition-sensitive agriculture, Village Savings and Loans Associations, and Care Group model. Expected changes are enhanced food and nutrition security, strengthened economic resilience, and improved maternal and child health evidenced by improved dietary diversity, increased productive asset investments, and high antenatal care attendance and healthy child nutrition status. The programme also includes advocacy to engage policymakers, integrate proven models into public systems, and scale impact through evidence-based dialogues and collaborations. Implementing the programme are Nhaka Afrikan Worldview Trust, a Zimbabwean organisation and Seniors Without Borders, a Danish organisation.
