Resume

The project is implemented in Northern Bangladesh by Africa-Asia Impact and its local partner Come To Work. It scales up proven advocacy and climate adaptation approaches for poor and marginalized indigenous women. The project targets 300 women of Adivasi ethnic and religious background, who experience compounded marginalization due to extreme poverty, legal and social discrimination, and climate vulnerability. The project strengthens women’s agency, adaptive capacity, and income opportunities through a participatory, experimental learning approach. Women attend learning sessions, identify advocacy messages, and engage with local duty-bearers. Simultaneously, climate adaptation technologies are introduced to flood-proof homesteads. Through iterative trials and improvements, the project fosters confidence, problem-solving skills, and a business mindset, enabling women to proactively engage with local government, access allocations, and improve resilience.
