This project builds on a partnership between Lotus Buds and Egypt Without Disease Foundation (EWD). The primary purpose is to improve the health and well-being of children in the Boulak el Dakrour area of Cairo by understanding the challenges; creating knowledge & education programs; by strengthening local capacity. The secondary purpose is to take a slow, small, safe step to scaling activities to reach more beneficiaries. The project will be implemented by Lotus Buds and EWD; EWD will work with the Al Amir Foundation, a trusted local service-providing partner of EWD and Lotus Buds. This three-way cooperation leverages the unique expertise, capabilities and resources of each partner to create sustainable impact. The main activities: 1)Field Study Need Assessment 2)Development of Awareness Curriculum (5 out of 10 envisioned lessons) 3)Social Media Campaign 4)Educational Sessions and 5) Capacity Assessment of local partner Al-Amir.
