Resume

AKAM is applying under the Support to the Application Process modality to strengthen internal fundraising capacity and advance its mission of promoting nature conservation and climate resilience in Bolivia and Peru. The requested funds will enable AKAM to develop a proposal to the Poul Due Jensen Foundation for a water management project in the Yungas region of Cusco, Peru, and Apolo, Bolivia, in collaboration with local partners ACCA and ACEAA. The project aligns with CSF’s principles by promoting local ownership, sustainability, and the empowerment of civil society - particularly rural and Indigenous communities. It addresses urgent environmental and socio-economic challenges linked to watershed degradation, climate-induced water insecurity, and weak local governance.
