Aktion Amazonas is an environmental organisation specialised in conserving nature in South America. Our purpose is to safeguard tropical forests and wetlands while supporting sustainable and regenerative development rooted in the rights and priorities of Indigenous Peoples and local communities. Guided by our 2030 Strategy, we work to strengthen civil society, resilient livelihoods, and ecosystem protection through long-term partnerships with local organisations. Since 2014, we have contributed to the conservation of more than 2 million hectares of forest in Bolivia, Brazil, and Peru. Through the South American Forest Conservation Alliance (SAFCA), we strengthen cross-border collaboration and resource mobilisation. From Denmark and the EU, we advance evidence-based policy engagement, sustainable market and value-chain transformation, and public and youth mobilisation to address the global drivers of forest loss.
CISU's World Map gives you an insight into the many worldwide projects supported by CISU's open pools, as well as the Danish organisations and their local partners who manage the projects.
When you select a country on the map, you get an overview of the projects, but you also see which CISU member organisations are active in that country.
