Resume

The purpose of the intervention is to strengthen the environmental justice struggle led by UDAPT against corporate impunity in the Ecuadorian Amazon. It aims at building the capacity of UDAPT and its social base, including six indigenous peoples subjects of individual and collective rights, to hold transnational corporations accountable for human rights violations and environmental damage. This will happen through three main strategies: Strengthening of UDAPT’s social base, to confront corporate impunity through ongoing dialogue and communication with communities (1) Generate capacities for new spokespeople among younger generations (2) Capacity building together with the ATALC network on communication on the architecture of corporate impunity and specifically on the Chevron case to expand outreach (3). The intervention focuses on exposing and holding Chevron accountable for the environmental damages and HR violations it has caused in the Ecuadorian Amazon and calling for justice.
