The BUCAREP-II Programme aims to strengthen climate resilience for 1,070 households (approx. 3,240 people) in Bukedea and Sironko district of Uganda, by 2028. Jointly led by CIDI and Seniors without Borders, it works with 19 EC3 groups and 5 CSOs2 to enhance the already built local capacity in food security, climate-smart agriculture, WASH5, and advocacy. The programme promotes rights-based, community-driven climate action through training, local civic organisation, and linkage to local authorities via the DECAP3 platform. It fosters sustainability through participatory planning, VSLAs4, peer learning, and joint advocacy. Women and youth-led efforts will drive improved livelihoods, income, and climate-related health outcome.
