Resume

The proposed programme focuses on the themes of inclusion and resilience through civil society partnerships in four countries: Myanmar, Nepal, Tajikistan and Armenia. Key target groups identified as vulnerable include people with disabilities, women and girls, other socially marginalised groups (Dalits in Nepal, female household heads) and groups that are marginalised by ethnicity (e.g. Mara). Enabling these groups to have a voice and to enjoy the realisation of their human rights to achieve improved socio-economic status requires capacity building of civil society and other stakeholders (including duty bearers), advocacy for lasting change through improved policy, and (to a lesser extent in this programme) improved service delivery. The programme is based in existing partnerships between Mission East and key CSOs in target countries, and pilots approaches to achieve synergies related to the themes of civil society strengthening, inclusion and resilience across multi-country contexts.
