Overall targets
Manzi Rada will raise awareness of the Global Goals and improve life opportunities of participants - mainly young women - in slum areas in Nairobi, Kenya.
Immediate targets
In order to reach the objective, Manzi Rada will: • improve Nafsi’s appeal to girls and young women by introducing music teaching in the slums and by raising awareness of gender equality and girls’ rights • introduce arts as a means for exploring the significance of the Global Goals and for sharing sentiments and knowledge related to the goals – especially no 5 (gender equality) and no 13 (climate action). As part of the awareness raising some of the youngsters will tour in Kenya and in Denmark / Europe. • improve Nafsi’s performance through organisational development, inclusion of more women at different levels in the organisation, and training of trainers
Target groups
Primary target groups: - Teachers: 40 persons (50% women) - Outreach program: 200 children and youth (50% girls and young women) - Nafsi (Staff and Board): 10 persons Secondary target groups: - Families and local leaders: 2000 - Audiences in Kenya (workshops and climate change performances): 5000 (mainly children and youth) - Audiences in Denmark: 2000 (mainly children and youth) in schools and high schools in three municipalities in Denmark

With ‘Manzi Rada’ (Girls be ready), Nafsi and Spor Media combine arts and Global Goals in order to contribute to awareness raising and improve the life opportunities of participants - mainly young women in Kenya. Manzi Rada builds on female trainers as role models and offers music teaching - mainly for girls - in two slum areas in Nairobi. All Nafsi’s trainers (male and female) are upgraded and enabled to teach children about Global Goals and include the goals as content of performances and other activities - especially no 5 (gender equality) and no 13 (climate action). As part of the awareness raising some of the youngsters will tour in Kenya and in Denmark, and Nafsi will reach thousands of children and youth with workshops and performances.
