Resume

The project aims to strengthen repatriation and reintegration for Ukrainians living abroad to Mykolaiv. Ukrainians are increasingly returning to frontline areas from abroad due to familial and emotional ties, regardless of the risk to their life. Despite existing repatriation and reintegration services and assistance, there is a continued need for local authorities’ engagement in these programmes. Therefore, the project aims to gather data from Ukrainians who have returned to Mykolaiv from abroad, and from Ukrainians in Denmark who are considering returning, to understand their concerns, challenges, and needs. This data will be published and shared with local Mykolaiv officials for its supported translation into draft decisions, policy recommendations, and formalised commitments between CSOs and local government. These actions therefore aim to strengthen the resilience of vulnerable returnees from abroad while enhancing CSOs and local authorities collaboration.
