Charitable Foundation “Shchedryk”

The Charitable Foundation “Shchedryk” was founded in July 2022 in response to identified donor desires to fund projects that work alongside official authorities, community members, and private volunteers. Founders Sergii Kolesnyk, Olexandr Mosin, and Natalya Gorbenko, brought together their experience in self-governance to develop the organisation’s purpose, utilising pre-existing relationships with government officials to coordinate collaboration between these authorities and community members and establish independent relationships from the ground up. This experience has allowed for maximum resource mobilisation for residents in Mykolaiv and Kherson regions over the years of implementation. The organisation's purpose is to strengthen regions in Ukraine through coordinating collaboration between authorities and community members, promoting local governance, protection, equal opportunities, comprehensive support for vulnerable populations, and meeting the needs of community members through the organisation’s activities focused on food security, livelihoods, protection, education, shelter, WASH.
